      Verdict

Try Catch Paddy, The Bar Maid and Abzuson look the three to concentrate on in a competitive opener and the vote goes to Try Catch Paddy. The selection was well beaten behind Reflected Glory last time out but prior to that had been in good form. He will appreciate the return to a faster surface and with his yard continuing in top form he will be hard to beat. The Bar Maid rates the main danger as she is game and consistent and is sure to make a bold bid to make all the running, she was a fair third behind Lord Olympia last time and will not be far away. Abzuson is another worthy of respect as he showed improved form to be second behind Woodlands Genpower last time and that form has since been franked. Always In Debt is from a yard in top form and is one to note in the market as he will appreciate the step up in trip. Of the remainder Kings Bay would have a chance on his best form but disappointed last time out so can not be put forward with any confidence and for the winner we return to Try Catch Paddy.
