Verdict

A STONES THROW produced his best effort so far over timber when fourth over today's trip at Catterick last month. With further progress expected, Ben Haslam's charge can open his account here. Champs De Bleu also stepped up on his previous efforts when runner-up at Plumpton recently but he needed 3m2f to do so, while Sovereign Spirit showed signs of improvement at Exeter last week and he could figure. Hippodrome went close at Market Rasen in November but has been below par since.
