In depth

Verdict

Idris was most impressive at Lingfield last time and can make it two wins in a row, Vertical Bloom and There Is A Doubt look the obvious dangers. Gary Moore's colt didn't appear happy on that Lingfield circuit and started to hang close home but still managed to get there by three and a half lengths from The Grey Man. He will be much more at home on this track and will be very difficult to beat. Vertical Bloom is also chasing a double having beaten a decent looking field at Warwick last time. She receives seven pounds from our selection and could pose big problems. The other previous winner in the line up is There Is No Doubt, who managed to land an Exeter event over this trip despite running green. The form is a little bit suspect, but with improvement expected he should take a hand in the finish. As with most of these events keep an eye on the market, but without that knowledge we will side with Idris
