Verdict

Several promising types face the starter in this. Ballinalacken and Premier Portrait have already won over timber but have penalties to contend with. Kris Spin was only beaten a head over 3m at Bangor in April and Westaway was second at Ascot last season and third at Fontwell in May. Mountain Tunes and Walk On Al could be useful recruits from the point-to-point field but there are high hopes surrounding PRIDEOFTHECASTLE, who has won bumpers at Limerick and Stratford and has a jumping pedigree. He can make a winning start to his hurdles career. Panama Petrus could be one for the future but may need this.
