Verdict

This test may bring out the best of CAMPDEN ANNIE who is nominally put forwards ahead of Jacarado and Strolling Vagabond. The latter is a regular campaigner in these types of contests and has plenty of miles under his belt but he's only finished in the money once here in seven attempts and other tracks appear to suit him better. One that doesn't have many miles on the clock is Chances Go who makes his chase bow for the in-form Powell yard but he's best watched unless the market suggests to the contrary. King Coal and Donald Will Do have bits and pieces of form that put them in the picture whilst Miss Merenda stayed on quite well last time. Jacarado ran fairly well over course and distance on his latest start back in April and has a couple of course successes to his name. That's more than can be said for the selection who is still awaiting a maiden success but she has won a point-to-point and shown some improvement since going chasing. There's stamina in abundance in her pedigree and she comes into the race on the back of what was arguably a career best run so we'll take a chance with Campden Annie.
