In depth

Verdict

This should not take much winning and, having already made a promising start to his chasing career, it is hard to get away from Flying Falcon, who gets the vote over Keepthedreamalive and Cromwell Court. The last mentioned showed ability over hurdles last term, winning a novices' hurdle at Hexham, and it is interesting that Don McCain has switched him to the larger obstacles so soon this term. Sovereign's Joy would need to improve on all known form to trouble the judge and a bigger threat is likely to come from Bob Buckler's Keepthedreamalive who has shown a consistent level of form. Flying Falcon was easily the pick of these over hurdles though, comes from the in-form yard of Venetia Williams and should be hard to beat.
