Verdict

Impersonator won this last year before completing a treble with subsequent victories at Ballinrobe and the Galway Festival. A recent run on the Flat will have done him good and he's only 4lb higher than for his last success. Lake Return has never won over hurdles but came very close at Downpatrick on Wednesday and makes a quick reappearance. Cantrell was in superb form earlier this year but she has only won once in 34 starts over timber while Double Seven was beaten into third from a 2lb lower mark at Sligo. MIND THE STEPS is steadily improving and followed a narrow victory at Kilbeggan with a fine run behind subsequent winner Van Wyck at Clonmel. Further progress should see him difficult to beat here.
