In depth

Verdict

Winning bumper DAYS WITHOUT END had 2l to spare over Great Trango when they occupied the places behind Val De Ferbet over 2m at Clonmel. The latter is 3lb better off and though both need further than this Dermot Weld's charge is progressive and can go one better. Spiral Galaxy hasn't been this far and was caught close home over 1m2f at Dundalk but took up the running a furlong out and may be ridden with more restraint to get the trip. Top Ofthe Ra is a smart hurdler making his Flat debut at an advanced age though has always shown plenty of speed in his races so is no forlorn hope.
