Verdict

SPIDER WEB (NAP) had shown nothing in three maidens but attracted a bit of support on his handicap debut at Ballinrobe last week and looked much better than his rating of 88 with a convincing victory. Not surprisingly he's been raised 9lb but is still well treated and can complete a quick double. Scenic Star had been racing on the all-weather before a narrow defeat by Most Honourable at Tramore last week and though 2lb higher has to be on the shortlist. See Me Here has been waiting for better going after showing much improved form on good ground in the autumn and looks on a fair mark while Show And Go's last run over timber resulted in a victory at Downpatrick. Shabra's Bertolini hasn't won for over a year and has dropped to such a lowly mark that he just sneaks into this handicap and it would be no surprise to see a big run.
