Verdict

Russian Soul beat Timeless Call a short-head with Abstraction a couple of lengths behind in this last year. The winner now has a penalty to carry for his Group 3 victory at Meydan where he had JAMESIE a length behind and it's the latter who looks the one to be on this time at the revised weights. Tim Pitt sent Sir Maximilian to the Curragh last month where he landed a very strong handicap over this trip before fading over 6f in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood - he'll definitely be up with the pace throughout. My Good Brother was three lengths behind him at the Curragh but is 6lb better off so should get closer.
