In depth

Verdict

RATHVINDEN will take the world of beating judging by his very impressive victory on heavy going at Listowel where he looked ideally suited by heavy ground. He had Potters Point five lengths behind at Galway in August and though the latter has improved and is 3lb better off he's more suited to a longer trip as he showed in the Kerry National at Listowel. He had earlier been beaten a short-head by Conrad Hastings at Killarney and there's nothing between them here while though The West's Awake has been impressive in both starts over fences he meets much tougher opposition this time.
