Verdict

Supporters of Stony Grey Soil will be looking for compensation after he ran out at the last when clear at Limerick last time. That was over 2m6f, however, and this could prove too short. Binocular is running well enough and this is his grade though he's now on his highest ever mark. Lucky Spring followed his Navan success with fine runs at Down Royal and Naas and should get competitive but TADHG looks to be going the right way and can take this for Edward O'Grady. A C&D winner in November, the five-year-old made a very promising handicap debut behind Fool's Wildcat at Leopardstown and looks capable of further progress. Concrete And Clay is another going well at present and should be suited by dropping down in trip after fading close home over 2m2f at Leopardstown last time. The lightly-raced Beckwith Star is another to consider in an open contest.
