In depth

Verdict

Willie Mullins won the first running of this a year ago and is double handed here. Harrie scored over hurdles after which he was highly tried but Paul Townend chooses FRANCO DE PORT. A winning hurdler in France and on his debut for the champion trainer, he finished runner-up in a Naas Grade 3 before pulling much too hard at Cheltenham. He's taken to make a successful chasing debut though Eleazar Des Neiges, another winning hurdler, should have learned from his opening run over fences at Punchestown where he was weakening when unseating Rachael Blackmore at the last. Front View looks the main threat as the winning bumper and hurdler showed plenty of promise on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse though he'll probably do better with a stiffer test of stamina.
