Verdict

Gordon Elliott, who has obvious chances of taking the two opening races, saddles French import Overtures here and the Flat-bred son of New Approach should be fit enough after two runs for new connections. He finished fourth behind Tiliver at Ballinrobe last month but another former French Flat winner, Le Vagabond, would have finished second but for falling at the last. Thywillbedone also holds Overtures on their run at Gowran and was still in front when falling at the second-last next time at Punchestown, though weakening at the time. Uno Voce hasn't shown much in two starts over timber so the vote goes to the newcomer BUYER BEWARE, who made a successful debut on the level in May and has done enough subsequently to suggest he can make a hurdler.
