Knockrea produced a fine effort when close up behind The Winkler at Gowran and ran well enough on testing going at Punchestown next time to suggest he'll be in the shake-up. PRINCE OF LOMBARDY made an encouraging debut over timber in November then returned with an even better effort when a close third behind Katie T at Naas. The winner has since won a Grade 3 so the form looks good enough for this. Spot Fine has been frustrating and his best runs have come on faster ground than he'll face here but it will be interesting to see how Honey Pound performs as he's only raced on heavy going so far and may be suited to these conditions.
