Lahaag, three times a winner for John Gosden in the UK, is much better than we saw in his opening run in testing conditions at Gowran while Captain Hox will have come on for his recent run at Leopardstown where he led for a long way. LOCKSTOCKANDBARREL (NAP) looked a certain future winner when runner-up to the talented Vigil on his bumper debut at Leopardstown in February and started long odds-on for a similar race at Naas the following month. He was made to look decidedly ordinary that day but the two who beat him have turned out to be useful hurdlers and he's expected to follow suit. Show And Go should make a decent staying chaser in time while Toushan made good progress in bumpers and got off to a fair start over hurdles at Gowran. Winter Breeze ran well behind Sir Abbot at Clonmel but has since been beaten between the flags.
