        Verdict

        Dr Smolder sets the standard off a mark of 64 returning to novice company after a poor handicap debut. A couple of these are less exposed including Bumbledom, a modest fourth over 7f here on his debut, while NEVER DO NOTHING caught the eye staying on late to take third over today’s trip at Kempton on his recent introduction. He should go close with normal progress and Andrew Balding’s charge gets the nod with Swerved and Set With The Stars looking best of the rest.
