Magical Effect has been in excellent form over 6f but has had numerous attempts to score over this longer trip and has come up short on each occasion. Highly Sprung is also better over 6f while Jewel Maker is having a first run for new connections. Queen's Sargent finished ahead of John Kirkup when second over course and distance at the start of the month and will be fancied to go one better but SALUTI (NAP) also found only one too good at Pontefract. Paul Midgley’s charge has done all of his winning over this trip and has dropped to a very lenient mark. Stable companion Start Time could also go well at a price along with Florenza, who will handle any give in the ground and won off a higher mark at Doncaster at the start of the season. Global Spirit has improved this year so makes more appeal than Roger Fell’s other runner Tadaawol.
