Karl Burke’s two-year-olds are in good form and Lieutenant Silver showed some promise at Musselburgh. Jockey bookings suggest he’ll be a better bet than the twice-raced Monsieur Piquer. Castle Quarter was third on debut at Beverley but already looks ready for a step up to a mile. Urban Highway and Beaufort, both half-brothers to two winners, are newcomers worth a market check but James Tate’s runners have a good strike-rate on this track and SAMEEM, well drawn in stall three, can add to the Newmarket trainer’s tally after showing a big improvement on his second start at Beverley.
