In depth

Verdict

A poor maiden handicap rounds off the card but the main protagonists look to be Somethingabouther, Compton Plume and Captain Sensible and we will take a chance on Compton Plume. The three year old was a good second over this course behind Brecongill Lad last time out and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Somethingabouther rates the main danger on her latest second behind Rare Destiny last time and if Complication wins the previous race she is likely to be favourite. Captain Sensible is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market now he is handicapped. Of there remainder Petana is another in form that has definite place claims but we we happy to stick with Compton Plume.
