In depth

Verdict

A large field goes to post for this contest and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Pink Harbour, Yassar and Bobsbest and the tentative vote goes to Yassar. The selection won well last time out when defeating Plain Chant and although he is rising in the weights he won with a little in hand and could still be ahead of the handicapper and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Pink Harbour rates the main danger on his best form but hew just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when fourth behind Yesyes last time and for that reason he is opposed.Bobsbest has the ability to go close but he does not look very genuine so he can not be put forward with any confidence. Osiris is from a shrewd yard and looks to be on a fair mark so is worth noting in the market. Of the remainder Clarendon disappointed last time but is from a top yard and is another that could go well at a price but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Yassar.
