Coeur d'Alene, Tradingup and Ironside are three against the field in a wide open contest and the tentative nomination is given to Tradingup. The selection ran as if in need of the run when fourth behind Arnold Layne last time out, has conditions to suit and off what remains a fair mark he looks a value bet. Coeur d'Alene rates the main danger on his best form but he has had plenty of chances of late without taking one and he looks opposable on that basis. Ironside is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks vulnerable under top weight after a 245 day break. He's The Biz will appreciate the return to this shorter trip but has shown little enthusiasm of late. Of the remainder Pitton Prince was a fair second behind Abutilon last time and he has definite place claims off his light weight, but for the winner we return to Tradingup who hails from a yard in top form.
