Verdict

Lord Landen should go well again whilst Pennellis merits respect but preference is for DOCTOR FOXTROT who can lead his rivals in this dance. Philip Hobbs saddles another interesting contender in Irish point winner Estates Recovery but jockey bookings suggest that Doctor Foxtrot is the stable first string. He was a big price but shaped encouragingly over two miles at Wincanton on debut and should fare better for this longer trip. Larks Lad and Penellis returned as beaten favourite on all three starts so they clearly show up well at home and they may be able to translate that ability to the track on their hurdling bows; it will be interesting to see if their supporters come back for more. Lord Landen was well supported ahead of his debut and justified the market support with a bold show and merits consideration now switched to hurdling. Rappel D'Estruval disappointed on his return to action but a number of the yard's runners have needed their first outing of the season and it would be no surprise to see him fare better now going over obstacles. This race could throw up a few winners but we'll take Doctor Foxtrot to come out on top today.
