A return to front-running tactics paid huge dividends for Renaloo at Folkestone earlier this month and, despite a 7lb penalty, Richard Rowe's gelding has every chance of following up. He is sure to be popular with backers, however, the form of that Folkestone contest may not amount to a great deal with the favourite, World Wide Web, disappointing and at likely odds it may pay to take on the forecast favourite. The Paul Nicholls-trained Jupon Vert won his second race of the season when successful here last month but has struggled since and a combination of the longer trip, a faster surface and his current rating makes the six-year-old one to be wary of. Athnowen has claims if he consents to jump off but is hardly a betting proposition having failed to do so at Exeter last time and the selection is Harik. Gary Moore's gelding travelled well throughout when second to King Of Mommur on a return to chasing off the same mark as today at Fontwell last week. Given too much to do by Philip Hide on that occasion, the son of Persian Bold is sure to be ridden more positively here and, under conditions that suit, he gets the vote.
