Verdict

Philip Hobbs had every chance of winning the first race and may be on for a quick double with ALLEE BLEUE. The latter left his previous form behind to score easily at Huntingdon earlier in the month and looks to have the most to fear from the four-year-old Clic Work. The latter's second in France is hard to evaluate but he's now trained by Paul Nicholls so has to come into the reckoning. Air Horse One disappointed at Kempton on his hurdling bow but it's too soon to write him off and Fountains Windfall is worth noting as he goes hurdling for the first time.
