In depth

Verdict

IT'S A CLOSE CALL, a winning point-to-pointer and bumper, found the heavy going against him on his hurdling debut at Wincanton and will be much more at home in today's conditions. His stablemate Abidjan landed a bumper in France before finishing last of three on his debut for Paul Nicholls at Haydock and makes his hurdling bow here. Captain Probus attracted support on his debut in a bumper here last month and will improve while Final Nudge wasn't disgraced in a Listed bumper at Newbury after landing the odds at Bangor. Multimedia is the type to do better in time while Stratford bumper winner Whatthebutlersaw will have learnt from his hurdling debut at Ffos Las where he made mistakes.
