Sunley Future showed improved form when landing a Hereford claimer earlier this month and has to be respected but this looks tougher and preference is for Lewis Island, who gets the vote ahead of After Lent. The last mentioned has faced a stiff task in two previous starts over timber and Martin Pipe's gelding may be better than he has shown so far. Pop Gun ran better in a handicap at Warwick last time but faces no easy task at the weights, while It's My Party is entitled to be thereabouts on recent evidence but is again likely to find at least one too good. The Last Mohican has claims on the pick of his form but has not shown enough of late to warrant respect. The vote then goes to Gray Moore's Lewis Island, who has an obvious chance at the weights and comes here on the back of a spin on the flat that should put him spot on for this.
