Verdict

A low-key affair which won’t take much winning. Sword of The Lord was the subject of a gamble at Leicester 11 days ago and only went down by a neck. Racing off the same mark here, he must have every chance of going one better but invariably finds a way of getting beat. Pay Your Way had shown little before scoring at Uttoxeter and is 9lb higher here while plater Seacon Beg is also climbing the weights. Back By Midnight was third over course and distance after winning at Uttoxeter and goes on the short-list, however, while Elkstone is unexposed and makes his handicap debut. CANADIAN DIAMOND's form is patchy but he's back on a winning mark and is best going right-handed on sharp tracks like this – he could give supporters a run for their money at decent odds.
