In depth

Verdict

On better ground, it would be no surprise to see Amantius return to the form which saw him win races at Leicester and Wincanton in December. Scooby is fitted with headgear in an attempt to see him get off the mark. He also enters calculations but this could rest between the well-bred Earth Lady and THE TWO AMIGOS. The former is probably the least exposed and the pick of Philip Hobbs’ two runners but there is not a lot between her and David Pipe’s gelding on the form book and the latter has won between the flags so a further step up in trip will be in his favour.
