Verdict

Secret World made a very encouraging debut over timber behind Act Of Kalanisi at Newbury but flopped when long odds-on at Taunton subsequently. Shammick Boy made all under a forceful ride to beat the strongly fancied Credit Swap over the C&D but may find the penalty incurred hindering his chances. Paul Nicholls is represented by the four-year-old ROCK OF DEAUVILLE, twice a winner on the Flat in the French Provinces, who made a promising start over timber at Hereford and should have made enough progress to score here. Another French import, Qalinas, can also get involved with his age allowance.
