Verdict

The prolific Irish point-to-pointer BLUE SIGNAL gets the nod here. AP McCoy takes the ride on this proven stayer who should appreciate the longer trip today. The trainer and jockey have a profitable 29% strike-rate when teaming up together over the last five seasons. Ballyoliver remains of interest with another year under his belt, whilst If I Had Him showed ability over timber in Ireland and has had a good year on the flat for the yard. Handicaps may be more realistic for Island Jim after this run although the ground today will suit, whilst Murrell must show something at home having started at odds-on both starts to date; he is respected on this hurdling bow. Elsewhere Whispering Jack and Rockabily are point-to-point recruits to respect.
