Verdict

Those with previous national hunt experience in this look a modest bunch so it may be worth concentrating on the newcomers. DAWN TWISTER won over 1m4f on soft ground at Ripon in March and was third to the smart Aiken in a Listed race on heavy at Ascot the following month. Lucy Wadham does well with her German imports and he is probably the one to beat today, though Silken Thoughts is another Flat winner proven on an easy surface and John Berry's filly shouldn't be discounted. Printmaker won twice on the level in Ireland for Ger Lyons but was tailed off on his hurdling debut at Exeter and needs more here.
