Verdict

Il Penseroso can land his five timer at the expense of Thedublinpublican and Kety Star. The selection has been in winning form all over the country during the summer months since leaving Paul Blockleys yard and joining Alison Thorpe. He was in winning action at Newton Abbot on Monday and for that carries a seven pound penalty. Connections must feel that he is still one step ahead and striking while the iron is hot will prove successfull once again. Thedublinpublican won at Wetherby in May but has since struggle to trouble the judge. Having said that he caught the eye when second to Schinkin Otto so any market moves should be noted. Kety Star carries top weight and was raised seven pounds for his win at Uttoxeter on his penultimate start. He looked to find things tough last time out but steps back down in trip so has to be respected. But for the winner we return to Il Penseroso to carry on his winning ways.
