In depth

Verdict

Lord Atterbury, Earthmover and Bright Approach look the three to concentrate on in this hunter chase and the confident vote goes to Lord Atterbury. The selection was a good third in the Grand National behind Amberleigh House despite not seeing out the distance. He has been given plenty of time to recover from those exertions, and with conditions in his favour here he will be hard to beat. Earthmover rates the main danger he defeated County Derry in good style over four miles last time out and he will not mind the drop in trip but he has had plenty of hard races of late and for that reason he is opposed. Bright Approach could also go well on his best form. However he was very disappointing on his last run behind Gladiatorial but at least he will be suited by this longer trip. Of the remainder Placid Man is improving with each run and could run well at a price but for the winner we return to Lord Atterbury.
