Verdict

GREEN WINTER was fourth in a Ludlow bumper on his only previous start under Rules but he's been forging quite a reputation between the flags and will have no problems with this trip having won easily over 4m at Cold Harbour at the start of the month when Connies Cross was a well-beaten third. Stoleaway beat Cooladerry King over 3m at Bangor and should confirm that form while High Hatton and Midnight King were second and third behind Cousin Pete at Cheltenham last month. Lilbitluso continued his winning run at that same meeting, with Excitable Island back in third, and Broken Eagle finished second in another race, though that was over 2m and he has a lot further to travel this evening.
