In depth

Verdict

An impressive debut at Bangor from Executive Park makes him the one to beat here. He has nothing to fear from Freteval on that running, but the latter still looks likely to provide the main danger, such is the lack of quality in this Hunter Chase. A maiden in points in Ireland, it was interesting that connections decided to go straight into Hunter chasing rather than through the pointing field and they were rewarded when he absolutely bolted up in a similar event at Bangor. He is open to plenty of improvement and looks a fair sort in the making. Freteval, a winner at Cottenham before going on to win a decent contest at Leicester, may not have been entirely suited by the soft ground at Bangor, and he may be capable of better on this sounder surface, although it is hard to see him reversing the form with the selection.
