Verdict

Our shortlist for the finale comprises Edgefour, Any Reason and Sister Agnes, although the last named also has an entry for an earlier race on the card, but if she runs in this one, we'll take her to land it. This is a shorter trip than the 6.40 for which she was earlier entered, and she's got course and distance form in the locker. The ground shouldn't be a problem, but presumably that will determine which, if either, she runs in. Edgefour has been placed on her last couple of runs, but on quicker ground and over shorter. Any Reason's making only her second appearance under rules and first in more than 2 years, but any horse from the in-form Tim Vaughan's yard needs to be respected. There's not a great deal of quality here, but we'll take Sister Agnes to land the lucky last.
