In depth

Verdict

Knotty Ash Girl will be all the rage here and is taken to score from Quotable and Longstone Lady in what is a poor contest. The selection won a selling handicap contest at Worcester last time and relishes fast ground. A 9lb rise won't make this eady but she did the job comfortably enough last time and with little to beat here she is taken to follow up. Quotable comes from a yard still going well and looks the danger. Oliver Sherwood's mare won a similar contest at Huntingdon on her penultimate start but failed to cope with a 10lb rise last time. She races from the same mark of 90 here but despite that she can go well. Longstone Lady won a novices' seller at Exeter in March but has been off the boil since. She is also unproven on ground this fast and so is opposed, and with little else appealing we take Knotty Ash Girl to score.
