        Verdict

        ROWAN SPIRIT is our call in this division with Arctic Feeling and Daas Rite also entering calculations. Captain Rio's progeny have a very fair record around Southwell and this individual, from the Tom Dascombe stable, has that positive in his genetic makeup. A half-brother to a number of French sprinters, he could literally be anything. Paul Hanagan will have to overcome an unfavourable rails draw on Arctic Feeling. His mother was the dam of that useful juvenile, Soar. Daas Rite represents the Kevin Ryan stable. He has a fairly stout pedigree and should be capable of improvement upon whatever he shows here. Barista has some interesting breeding and we will see if the locals show any interest in Alan McCabe's runner. Mishtaag cost 26000 guineas and may be better with a bit more time. David Evans is known as a prolific trainer of sprinters so expect to see a bold show from Style and Panache under the much improved Cathy Gannon. Probably the weaker of the two divisions and Rowan Spirit is the percentage call.
