MINELLA ARIS, a winning point-to-pointer, joined Tom George after a narrow defeat at Leopardstown when trained by Aidan O'Brien and started long odds-on at Ayr in March. However, he jumped very poorly that day and finished well beaten but, with his trainer in outstanding form, he can put that run behind him and looks the type to go on to better things. Predict A Riot scored between the flags in March and went for £50,000 at the sales but was beaten a distance in a three-horse race at Warwick on his debut for Dan Skelton earlier this month, which can't have been his true form. Toviere had shown plenty of promise before his reappearance at Stratford where he only faded in the closing stages so he should be spot-on for this. For Instance, a winning point-to-pointer and bumper performer, made a cracking return to action at Towcester where he couldn't quite match the pace of Toby Lerone over 2m5f and his stamina should see him into contention. Mr Brinkley was acquired for €55,000 after landing a point on heavy going at Killeagh in January but may need more testing conditions.
