Verdict

Few boast solid credentials in a weak affair and a chance is given to Bond May Day, who may have a little improvement to come over this longer trip. Bryan Smart's charge stepped up on previous efforts when a staying-on third over a mile in slightly better company earlier in the month, giving every impression that the extra two furlongs here would suit ideally. Broughton Spirit is another who could prove well served by this trip after getting up close home over a mile here last time and should go well despite a subsequent 4lb rise. Barry Hills has his stable in excellent fettle at present so Dancing Key is another to consider off a potentially lenient mark on her handicap debut while Radiant Bride and Essay Baby are other lightly raced types who are both capable of further progress.
