Verdict

A good opportunity here for Larky's Lob to regain the winning thread, with the main dangers being Cleveland Way and Compton Princess. The selection beat Cleveland Way by five lengths here in January and is only a pound worse off today. Larky's Lob should confirm the running although it will not be as easy over a furlong shorter trip. Compton Princess showed her first sign of form for some time when third in a seller at Pontefract recently. It looked quite a competitive affair, in the context of this event, and would be no surprise to see this one run well again at a decent price. The market may provide the best guide to the rest of the field's chances, so with that in mind Larky's Lob is given a cautious vote.
