Verdict

Alabastrine may have too much scope for the rest, with Wainwright and Espresso Time the only others to make any appeal. Sir Mark Prescott's filly is bred to be useful but may in fact turn out to be only slightly better than moderate judged on the limited evidence so far. Unraced as a juvenile, she has been there or thereabouts in both starts this season and this switch to the all-weather may galvanise her into action. Then again it may not, and the likes of Wainwright and Espresso Time are waiting in the wings to capitalise. The latter failed to act on Lingfield's Polytrack last time but shaped much better here the time before. Wainwright makes his all-weather debut and ran well enough after a break at Catterick over seven furlongs to warrant a mention. The rest are hard to enthuse about and the smallest bet on Alabastrine is advised.
