    Verdict

COOL SPIRIT is penalised for winning at Catterick last year but went close on a recent reappearance at Wolverhampton. Rated 82, he can concede weight to these if taking to the Fibresand. Samovar has plenty to find on these terms but is proven on the surface with a second over 6f here on New Year’s Day while stablemate and newcomer Shortbackandsides is related to winning sprinters. Daze Out is a likely improver for the Fahey yard but Elegant Joan is hard to fancy.
