Verdict

Midnight Fling, Great Charm and Jack Got Even make most appeal in this maiden and the vote is given to Midnight Fling. The selection showed plenty of promise on her 2 runs last season when she shaped as though this slight step-up in trip would suit. She ran well on her racecourse debut last season so we know she goes well fresh and she rates as a solid bet. Great Charm was well beaten in a handicap at Nottingham last time but he has less on his plate in this company, his yard are in good form, and he should come on for his latest outing as it was his seasonal bow. Jack Got Even hinted at ability last season, although he will need to have improved over the winter if he is to take this. Mick Quinn's Zeffirelli improved from his debut to finish second behind Tiger's Rocket last time, but he has more on his plate here and a safer bet looks to be Midnight Fling who is forwarded as the pick.
