Verdict

CALYPSO BAY looks the one to beat here. He had three previous winners behind when scoring over hurdles at Uttoxeter on his latest start and is taken to make a winning debut over the larger obstacles. Outlaw Tom looks a real threat as he was only beaten a length over these fences last month, while Plumpton winner Horseshoe Reef can draw on a greater experience of fencing and he too can figure. Gem Mill has also won a chase but this is tougher and Hereford runner-up Tucumcari could prove a bigger threat.
