Verdict

BLADES LAD followed a narrow-margin win here with a six-length romp over track and trip last week to land the double. Peter Niven's charge can defy a penalty in this company given Prayer Time looks the main danger but was still beaten a long way when placed at the track the last twice. Comanche Chieftain finished behind the latter last time but The Kid went close at Wolverhampton in between a couple of modest efforts and could figure if taking to the Fibresand.
