        Verdict

        Matterhorn made a winning start in handicaps with a victory at Lingfield and there looks more to come from Mark Johnson's colt if handling the Fibresand. But MAMA AFRICA has the proven course form having landed a double here at the end of last year and finishing runner-up back at the track in April. She gets the nod despite returning from a lay-off while Hammer Gun is also at his best here and is back on a winning mark. Three Weeks drops back down in trip after finishing second over 1m4f on his Fibresand debut while Shearian won a lower grade contest here last month and Custard The Dragon handles the surface.
