In depth

Verdict

Littleton Zephir, a course and distance winner, looks to have a excellent chance of adding another course and distance win to his record. Still well handicapped and with the assistance of a top apprentice he looks sure to go well from his advantageous draw and as long as a fair price can be obtained he looks the one to be on here. Without Words suggested last time out at Wolverhampton he is on a fair mark for his ability and having shown decent form in the past could run well here for his in-form trainer. On the downside this is his Southwell debut and he could well need further than this these days. Back on her favourite track Cherine could spring a surprise for her trainer who does well here. Well regarded she disappointed when sent off a hot favourite for a similar contest to this last month but the application of a first-time visor could be what she needs to keep her concentrated. Wigmo Princess surprised a few when finishing 3rd here at 50/1 in February. A look back at her efforts at this track suggested that was not a fluke and she is respected back at a mile.
