Verdict

An uncompetitive heat and Platinum Charger looks the safest bet to concede weight all round. Kevin Ryan's charge is eased in grade after taking on useful handicap company since landing a one-mile maiden at Wolverhampton in November. A son of Kahyasi out of a Nashwan mare, he is bred to appreciate this step up in trip and should prove hard to beat on these terms. Maunby Rocker is not the most consistent but comes here in good heart following a narrow win here last time. However, that was a weak affair which still leaves the son of Sheikh Albadou with something to find and is far from certain to be as suited to middle distances compared with the selection. Shingles is still a maiden but had some useful turf form and is likely to appreciate this surface better than previous all-weather visits on polytrack so shouldn't be discounted.
